Every now and again I have the opportunity to hit mitts with Fidel. But this day was a little different...half way through our workout I realized I had some gear in my car from a recent portrait shoot, so I asked Fidel if he'd be interested in a boxing photoshoot since I've always wanted to photograph a bad ass boxer in the ring.
What gear did I have in my car, you ask? Well, I had a Paul C Buff Einstein, a beauty dish and a c-stand. I don't have a photo of our set, but it was pretty basic. I put him in a corner of the ring with the light overhead. Check out a few of my fav photos.

A lot of people will use oils to give their model that just worked out sweat look. Not this bad ass. While I was setting up and dialing in settings, home boy was skipping rope outside and getting his swoll on. This is the real deal here.

Fidel is training for an upcoming pro fight he has, so he busted out his promo sunglasses. Legit.

Once everyone saw how awesome these photos were looking, Taylor and Erin jumped in too...because, why not!
